Through the magic of technology, Julian now has a song available for sale on iTunes. Pretty cool to see. You can search for it in the iTunes store or go here to see the Julian Hornik iTunes page. Fun.
I love Dr. Horrible. I hope they make more Dr. Horrible soon.
I was driving up Sand Hill Road earlier this week and saw someone riding a cool contraption that looked a bit like a bike but clearly wasn't a bike. As I passed the rider, I checked it out and it read "Elliptigo," so I went home and looked it up online. Turns out it is a new vehicle (not yet on the market) that is a cross between a bike and a elliptical trainer -- thus, Elliptigo. Here's a video of the Elliptigo in action. It's very cool.
If you think that my blog post about the Rosewood Hotel was bad, check out this video made by a musician who's guitar was broken by United Airlines.
I heard a story about this on NPR today. What amazed me was that they didn't reference the Tom Paxton song "Thank You Republic Airlines" in which Paxton sings, "Thank you Republic Airlines for breaking the neck of my guitar." I'm thinking the best bet when traveling with a guitar is to take it as carry on.
After seeing Twelfth Night last week in Central Park, Julian decided to write his own score to the Shakespeare masterpiece. Here's his first song to "Come Away" from Twelfth Night.
I was playing around with a new website called Likaholix and was "liking" the stuff I like. I don't know what led me to Itzhak Perlman but I liked him, which led to me watching a bunch of Perlman videos on YouTube. He is and was so absolutely incredible it is hard to stop watching. Check out a couple of the clips I happened upon (including one of Itzhak when he was only 13 playing the Mendlesohn).
